Extensive technical and practical experience in implementation is the key to the visualization of designers’ grand ideas. For the Urbanian Pavilion project at the Shanghai World Expo 2010, yucolab was appointed as the media content producer and technical consultant for KDJ from the Netherlands. Working through each step of the process included the formulation of budget plans, coordination and installation design of audio and lighting fixtures, the creation of a movable mechanical installation and completion of system integrations among a variety of essential components. Within the pavilion, 5 different spaces illustrated 5 different lifestyles through the use of rotatable space, illusions from mirror and light manipulations, as well as the addition of a virtual scene. The summation of these components successfully generated a unique atmosphere for each space.
