Cameras projected real-time images of the audience onto the screen. Using Nintendo Wii motion technology, people could interact with the screen’s animated sequences: waving arms to flip over puzzle boards and initiate the movie, or clapping long inflatable balloons to “fill up” a Coca-Cola bottle. Upon collapsing digital and physical space, we encouraged the wild, enthusiastic engagement that only occurs when you’re allowed to take part in the fun.
